After graduating, he studied for M.Sc Computer Science from University of Agriculture, Pakistan. In 2004, after completing the Master's course in Distinction, he worked as an IT/Computer Science teacher at the Govt. M.C. High School, Samanabad. He completed his M.Sc Information Security from RHUL with Distinction in 2007. He is currently studying as a PhD student in the Smart Card Centre under the supervision of Dr. Konstantinos Markantonakis. His research interest areas include Cryptography, Smart Card Authentication Protocols, Security Evaluation Methodology, Artificial Intelligence, and Smart Card Operating Systems.

PhotoMr Haitham Al-Sinani BEng (Portsmouth) received his bachelor of engineering degree in Wireless Computer Networks from the University of Portsmouth with First Class Honours. Haitham has also received the award of the Best Final Year Computing Project (2008). He is employed at the Diwan of Royal Court, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman as a network security engineer but he is presently on study leave. He is currently studying for Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Chris Mitchell and advised by Prof. Kenny Paterson. His PhD is fully sponsored by the government of Sultanate of Oman- Diwan of Royal Court. His current research interests include identity management, user authentication, web security and network security.

PhotoMr Zeeshan Bilal BE (NUST), MIT (IQRA), MS (NUST) holds a BE (Avionics) from NUST Pakistan, an MIT from IQRA University Pakistan, and an MS (Information Security) from NUST Pakistan. After receiving his BE degree with distinction, Zeeshan worked as an aeronautical engineer in the Pakistan Air Force. He completed his masters in IT from IQRA University and MS in Information Security from NUST with CGPA of 4.00/4.00 in both programs. He received President's Gold Medals for his achievements. During his MS Thesis, he worked on authentication protocols for RFIDs. He has been selected for a PhD by the Pakistan Air Force. He is working under the supervision of Prof Keith Martin and his advisor is Prof Kenny Paterson. His areas of interest include Cryptography, Network Security and Wireless Systems Security.

PhotoMr Clive Blackwell holds a BSc in Mathematics from Warwick University and passed out at the top of the class in his BSc in Computer Science from Royal Holloway. After completing an MSc in Information Security, he commenced a PhD in Network Security under the supervision of Chris Mitchell with funding from the EPSRC. He is now at the writing-up stage and hopes to finish soon. His thesis aims to unite the various existing Internet attack and defence taxonomies. The model makes the relationships between the elements explicit, so that it aids both the practicalities of designing secure networked systems and allows them to be formally defined and analysed. He believes that this work can be applied to many other types of security system.

PhotoMr Christian Bonnici BSc (Hons) MSc received a BSc in Computing and Information Systems from Goldsmith's College, University of London and an MSc in Information Security (with Distinction) from Royal Holloway, University of London. In the early stages of his career he was employed within the Maltese branch of Actavis (a pharmaceutical organisation), where he was responsible for the management of the IT network infrastructure and the co-ordination of the company’s information security and business continuity management systems. Christian has served as a member of the organisation's IT Crisis Management Team and on the company's Health and Safety Committee. His BSc and MSc research focussed on Digital Rights Management. His PhD research forms part of the VOME project, and currently revolves around the interdisciplinary aspects of privacy and software development. Christian is working under the supervision of Prof. Chris Mitchell.

PhotoMr Marcelo Carlos BSc (UFSC, Brazil), MSc (UFSC, Brazil) received his BSc in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil in 2004. After graduating, he received his MSc in Computer Science (focused on Information Security) from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil in 2007. Between 2006 and 2009, he worked as project manager for ICPEDU Project, focused to deploy an academic PKI for Brazilian Universities. Between 2007 and 2009 he worked as researcher and project manager for the Computer Security Laboratory (LABSEC - Brazil), working with solutions related to Brazilian Governmental PKI (ICP-Brasil). PhotoMr John MacDonald BSc, MBA (Henley) received his BSc. (1st class Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering in 1980 and his MBA (distinction) from Henley Management College in 1996. During his first degree he was employed by Pye TV (Philips) and after graduating joined the BBC as a TV Engineer, before moving onto the position of VT editor for the TV News Section. After a year's sabbatical undertaking Postgraduate Research into Tomographic & Digital Imaging with The Royal Postgraduate Medical School, John moved into consultancy with Frazer Nash Electronics. John moved into international marketing management in 1986 by joining confectionery giant Mars GB Ltd. After attaining the position of Global Product Marketing Manager for Payment Systems John joined Motorola Subscriber Products division in 1991. A series of promotions followed over the next decade with John moving to, EMEA Retail Channel Business Development Manager in 1994, EMEA Channel Manager (B2B and consumer direct channels) in 1995, EMEA Business Operations Director in 1996 and EMEA Director GPRS & 3G Technologies in 1999. In the summer of 2003 John "retired" from corporate life to commence a PhD research degree with Royal Holloway, sponsored by Telefonica Moviles of Spain. John created MadGo.com Ltd to provide freelance advisory and consultancy services to bring content owners and mobile operators together. In previous employment, he provided information security consultancy to clients in UK Banking Industry, UK Payment Clearing Schemes and was active in the development of ISO Standards. PhotoMs Penying Rochanakul received her B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She has been awarded The Royal Thai Government scholarship, under the Development and Promotion of Science and Technology Talents Project (DPST), to pursue a course of study leading to a Ph.D. in Mathematics at Royal Holloway, University of London. She is currently being supervised by Prof. Simon Blackburn and advised by Dr. Siaw-Lynn Ng.

PhotoMr Muhammad Qasim Saeed BE (NUST), MS (NUST) received a BE (Avionics) from the College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE, NUST) Pakistan in 1999 and an MS (Information Security) in 2010 from MCS, NUST Pakistan. After receiving his BE degree, Qasim worked as an aeronautical engineer in the Pakistan Air Force. During his MS thesis, he worked on the RFID tags used in the ePassport system and analysed possible security concerns. In 2010, he was selected for post-graduate studies by the Pakistan Air Force and joined the RHUL for a PhD. He is working under the supervision of Dr Colin Walter and his advisor is Dr Carlos Cid. His areas of interest are cryptography and cryptanalysis.

PhotoMr Dale Sibborn BSc (Ebor) MASt (Cantab) completed his degree in Mathematics at the University of York before receiving a Master of Advanced Study in Pure Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. He is currently studying for a PhD under the supervision of Professor Kenny Paterson in the areas of applied and theoretical cryptography as part of the EPSRC funded project "Cryptography: Bridging Theory and Practice".

PhotoMr Muhammad Suid BSc (USA) MSc (Malaysia) received his BSc in Business Administration (Information Science) (1999) from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA, and an MSc in Computer Science (2007) from MARA Institute of Technology, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. His research interests include Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and the balancing act between Arts and Science in that matter. He is supervised by Prof. Chris Mitchell.

PhotoMr Terrence Walker hails from Australia and is studying part-time for his PhD under the supervision of Dr Lizzie Coles-Kemp, while working for a CSIRT in Belgium. He has around a decade of security exposure and an interest in systems (security and ecological), as well as the interaction between operational and technical security. He is using system dynamics as a modelling tool in order to better understand security systems.

PhotoMs Zhiqian Xu B.Eng (BUPT, China) M.A (WSU, USA) received her B.Eng in Computer Engineering from Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications, Beijing, China and a M.A. in Computer Science from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, USA. She is a part-time student working at FedEx in the USA. Her research interests include distributed data protection and key management in distributed systems. She is supervised by Prof. Keith Martin.

PhotoMr Po-Wah Yau BSc (Hons) (London) has his main research interests in the security of distributed computing technologies, concentrating on the areas of mobile ad hoc networks and Grid computing. He is is currently part of a 3-year EPSRC funded e-Science research project looking at trust establishment in mobile distributed computing platforms.

PhotoMr Rostom Zouaghi MEng (Birmingham), MSc (London) received a Master of Engineering in Electronic and Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham in 2006. He then completed a Masters of Science degree in Information Security (with Distinction) at Royal Holloway in 2008. His interests, in general, lie in the fields of network security, distributed algorithms and cryptographic algorithms. In his PhD, he is conducting research in mobility-aware routing and security protocols for MANETs under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Wolthusen.
